Jacob Mauney, Sr. was born before 1714 in Germany and died after 1770.

Occupations : Tanner. 

Immigration: Immigrated onboard the Phoenix on August 27, 1750 in Philadelphia from Rotterdam then Cowes, England.   Also onboard were his son's Jacob Mooney, Jr, Valentine Mooney and Christian Mooney. 

Land:  He purchased 30 acres of land (State Land Grant) in Lincoln County, North Carolina on June 30, 1797 and 70 acres more in the same area on March 8, 1799. 

Residences: The family moved to Tryon County (present day Lincoln County) North Carolina by the 1770's.  It's unlikely that Jacob Mauney moved with his son's to Warren County, Tennesse around 1810 based upon his age.

Jacob Mauney had two wives and children from each.  The names of Jacob Mauney's wifes is not known.

Jacob Mooney, Jr. was born in 1734 in Germany and died about 1813.

Valentine Mooney was born in 1737 in Germany and died about 1815.

Christian Mooney was born in 1741 in Germany and died about 1815.

David Mooney was born about 1765 and died about 1832 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.  He married Mary Monroe on June 20 1787 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.

James Mooney, Sr. was born about 1770 and 1775 in Tryon County, North Carolina and died after 1830 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.

Jonathon Mooney was born between 1770 and 1775 in Tryon County, North Carolina.   He married Rachel Wilson about 1790.

Daniel Mooney was born between 1775 and 1780 and died about 1843 in Cleveland County, North Carolina.
