Henry Bolton

Henry Bolton was born in 1760 in England and died November 24, 1846 in Giles County, Virginia.  He married Catherine Chapman on August 17, 1787 in Olde Swedes Church, Philadelphia, PA.

Immigration:  Immigrated from London in 1775 with his brother, Conrad, aboard the Culvert at age 15.  He was an indentured servant for seven years.  (See record)

Military:  He served in Revolutionary War and was wounded in the leg at the battle of Brandywine.  He enlisted in service by direct influence of General Washington according to family story.  See story

Catherine Chapman was born in April 15, 1756 in Pennsylvania and died on August 17, 1798 in Botetourt County, Virginia.

Elizabeth Bolton was born on November 6, 1787 in Limerick, PA and died in 1874 in Trout Run, Botetourt County, Virginia.  She married Reverand Absolam C. Dempsey on October 20,1809 in Botetourt, Virginia.

Catherine Bolton was born on June 17, 1789 in Pennsylvania and died died July 1862 in Washington County, Tennessee.  She married Daniel Wrightsmann on March 7, 1815 in Botetourt, Virginia

Jacob Bolton was born on April 27, 1793 in Giles, Virginia and died November 25, 1859 in Murray, Georgia.  He married Elizabeth Inksell on March 20, 1816 in Botetourt County, Virginia.

Peter Bolton was born on September 28, 1796 in Botetourt County, Virginia and died March 17,1858 in Center, Cedar County, Iowa.  He married Mary Falls.  They moved to Iowa after 1850.

Sarah Bolton was born on September 15, 1797 in Giles County, Virginia and died September 10, 1798 in Botetourt County, Virginia.
