Watson Northup Family

Samuel Watson

Samuel Watson, son of John Watson and Dorcas Gardiner, was born in 1686 in Kingstown, Rhode Island and died February 25, 1779 in North Kingstown.   

He married Mary Northup in about 1724.

Other Spouses: Mary Helme, Hannah Slocum

In 1712, he was made a freeman in Kingstown, Rhode Island.  He owned a slave, Fortune, who enlisted in the Continental Battalion in the Revolution, May 29, 1778. 

Land:  He acquired a substantial acreage of land in North Kingston (300 acres+).  His home was near Mooresfield Road and MacSparran Hill.

Mary Northup

Mary Northup, daughter of Stephen Northup and Mary Thomas, died October 5, 1737.

Benjamin Watson was born in 1724 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island and died February 28, 1797 in North Kingstown.

Stephen Watson was born in 1726 and died February 6, 1811.  He married Abigail Arnold on September 4, 1757,
