William Marshall, son of John Marshall
and Hannah Baldwin, was born on August
7, 1770 in Chester Co., Penn. and died on March 20, 1861 in
Louisa Co., Iowa. He married
Elizabeth Cole on December 2, 1792 in Frederick Co.,
Virginia.
Residences/Life: In 1785, John's father moved the
family to live along the Potomic River, in Frederick County,
Maryland. In 1792, William and Elizabeth were married in
Frederick County, Virgina and lived there until 1815 when they
moved to Greene County, Ohio. In 1849, William and
Elizabeth along with son Seth Smith and grandson Daniel Marshall
and his family moved to Cairo, Iowa.
She was born February 25, 1774 in Frederick County,
Virginia,

Nellie Freeman,
and died June 15, 1852 in Cairo, Louisa Co., Iowa.
