Marshall Cole Family

 

William Marshall

William Marshall, son of John Marshall and Hannah Baldwin, was born on August 7, 1770 in Chester Co., Penn. and died on March 20, 1861 in Louisa Co., Iowa.  He married Elizabeth Cole on December 2, 1792 in Frederick Co., Virginia.

 

Residences/Life:  In 1785,  John's father moved the family to live along the Potomic River, in Frederick County, Maryland.  In 1792, William and Elizabeth were married in Frederick County, Virgina and lived there until 1815 when they moved to Greene County, Ohio.  In 1849, William and Elizabeth along with son Seth Smith and grandson Daniel Marshall and his family moved to Cairo, Iowa. 

 

Elizabeth Cole

She was born February 25, 1774 in Frederick County, Virginia, daughter of William Cole and Nellie Freeman, and died June 15, 1852 in Cairo, Louisa Co., Iowa.

Children of William Marshal and Elizabeth Cole:

Hannah Marshall was born on January 24, 1793 in Frederick Co., Virginia and died July 5, 1867 in Pine Village, Warren, Indiana.

John Marshall was born Jan. 24, 1795 in Frederick Co., Virginia and died on Sept. 17, 1880 in Lousia Co., Iowa.  He married Nancy Hayes on Jan. 18, 1816. 

Eleanor Marshall was born Jan. 13, 1797 in Frederick Co., Virginia and died in 1881 in Selma, Clark Co. Ohio.   She married William White on Dec. 29, 1816.

James Marshall was born on June 6, 1801 in Frederick Co., Virginia. (twins)

Robert  Marshall was born on June 6, 1801 in Frederick Co., Virginia. (twins)

Freeman Marshal was born May 5, 1806 in Frederick Co., Virginia.

Benjamin Marshal was born Sept. 6, 1809 in Frederick Co., Virginia. (twin)

 Sarah Marshal was born Sept. 6, 1809 in Frederick Co., Virginia. (twin)

Seth Smith Marshal was born Oct. 27, 1813 in Frederick Co., Virginia.

 Maryann Marshal was born Feb. 4, 1816 in Greene County, Ohio.
