in Page Co., Iowa. He married Caroline M. Inman
on October 10, 1855. William served in Company D, 80th
Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the Civil War from 1862
to 1865. He was imprisoned in the infamous Andersonville
prison during the war.
