Zacharias Hinton

Zacharias Hinton, son of William Thomas Hinton and Margaret Brammel, was born in 1837 in Fleming, Kentucky and died November 13, 1864 in Van Buren, Arkansas.  

He married Elizabeth Frances Cayton on December 26, 1855 in Buchanan County, Missouri.

Military: Private in 13th Kansas Infantry Regiment in the Civil War.  He died from measles in Van Buren, Arkansas during the war.  Below is a photograph of his regiment taken in Fort Smith, Arkansas in the fall of 1864. 

Burial: Fort Smith National Cemetery, Arkansas.

Elizabeth Frances Cayton, daughter of William Jacob Cayton and Nancy Brock, was born about 1839 in Jackson, Missouri.  She died on March 6, 1865 in Rushville, Buchanan, Missouri.
