George Plumbe

George Plumbe, son of John Plumbe and Elizabeth Green, was born in 1679 in New London County, Connecticut and died in 1723 near Mantauk Island, New York.  

He married Prudence Richardson on December 2, 1708 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.

Occupation :  He was a ship master and owner.  He owned a brigantine named Isle of Wright which he sailed between the colonies and the West Indies.

Death :  Several references indicate he died along with three other men in a ship wrecked by a sever storm in late July 1773.  The ship was Rhode Island sloop that had departed Mantauk Island, New York and was washed ashore on the south side of the Island.

Prudence Richardson, daughter of Samuel Richardson and Anna Chesebrough, was born on September 10, 1690 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.

Prudence Plumbe was born on November 18, 1709 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.  She married Ephraim Fellows on May 13, 1731 in Stonington.  

Samuel Plumbe was born Octoberr 4, 1712 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut and died on August 5, 1799.  He married Grace Babcock on August 16, 1738 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut.

Anna Plumbe was born in 1715.  She married Elias Babcock on November 10, 1737 in Stonington, New London, Conn.

Abigail Plumbe was born in 1717.  She married William Chapman on January 31, 1739 in Stonington, New London, Conn.

Sarah Plumbe was born in 1719. 

Elizabeth Plumbe was born in 1722.
